can you send an example of what you mean by space under image - I have 2 ideas of what you are talking about... ;)

  I can't for the life of me remember how to remove the space that appears

  I've tried this display: block; which works but I don't want to make images
  block level elements.

  Does anyone know what I can add to make this go away for all images or
  failing that the containers they sit in? I have a horrible feeling someone
  is going to mention the doctype and quirks mode, or the lack of it.
